Christina Hendricks Has a Collection of Creepy Doll Pottery, and We Don’t Know How to Feel About It

By Emma Kershaw

While a practical gift is nice, it’s the thoughtful ones that are unique to your personality and interests that mean the most. Of course, what that gift may be differs from person to person, and in the case of actress Christina Hendricks, it turns out to be doll pottery… creepy doll pottery, to be exact.

Hendricks took to Instagram earlier this week to showcase her new collection of doll pottery. Hendricks, who is currently filming the fourth season of NBC’s “Good Girls”, uploaded snaps of her rather bizarre pieces that include a baby doll head planter and a chicken with a human head.

“There seemed to be a theme this year with gifts from my friends,” Hendricks wrote in the post’s caption. “Should I be worried? Delighted? I’m going with THRILLED!!!!”.

A big conversation starter, the Instagram post attracted hundreds of comments from friends and fans who, unsurprisingly, had mixed feelings.  “Better these than a ‘live laugh love’ sign!!” said one user, while another commented “Sleep with the lights on…”

However, Hendricks’ “Good Girls” co-star Retta perfectly explained how many of her followers were feeling when she simply commented on the post with two flushed face emojis. Us too, Retta, us too.

If, by chance, you too are in the market for similarly terrifying pieces, there are currently an array of doll head planters available to purchase on Etsy. Some are creepier than others, but our advice? Keep them out of the bedroom. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night to one of these staring back at you.

The unique pieces provide a glimpse into Hendricks’ decor style, and we cannot wait to see how she designs her new home, a 1908 Craftsman she purchased at the beginning of 2021. Based on her choice of pottery, we’re expecting Hendricks’ home to be a stunning gothic Renaissance paradise.

So whether you are a fan of the creepy horror movie-esque vibes or not, we are very excited to see what other weird and wonderful pieces Hendricks decides to fill her home with.
